Hey, y’all! I am so excited for today’s post. About a month ago, we did our engagement pictures, and today I’m gonna share my favorites, as well as the stories behind them & how amazing our photographer is! If you want to see all the love, then keep on scrolling!
First and foremost, if you are looking for a photographer in the Fort Wayne area, Kendall is your girl! She is absolutely amazing, so easy to work with, and definitely knows spots in Fort Wayne that are perfect for pictures. She brought us to spots that I was a little weary of, but once I saw the pictures, I was completely blown away. I chose Kendall because I absolutely loved her editing style. Originally, I had messaged another photographer. That photographer was booked, but recommended Kendall. I am so glad she did!
Since I am a wedding vendor myself, I always said that when I got married, I would only want to choose vendors that I could see myself hanging out with. If I can’t stand to be around them for an entire day, they were out of the question. Kendall is definitely the type of photographer that I wouldn’t mind being around for the entire day of my wedding. She is so sweet, and so easy to be around. She’s the type of person who automatically calms you down being in front of her camera. Fun fact: I get anxious when people take pictures of me, but I was not anxious at all with Kendall.
First and foremost, I feel the need to talk about how cold it was that day. It was so cold that Kendall didn’t think her camera would work! But nonetheless, we sucked it up and chose a different location. Initially, we were going to take pictures at a park, but decided on going downtown Fort Wayne so that the wind and cold wouldn’t be too intense. However, it was still about 25 degrees. We took breaks inside of Coney Island, and sat in our car for a little bit to warm up in between locations, so it didn’t feel as cold. After about an hour, I literally couldn’t feel my body!
Our first spot was a brick wall on Main Street. When I first saw it, I didn’t see the vision that Kendall had. It looked like an old abandoned building that was broken down, but once she showed me a sneak peak of the pictures, I instantly knew that these pictures were going to be great!
After this, we switched locations and went to The Deck, one of my favorite bars. We actually came across The Deck on our way to another location. They had gorgeous lights, and the area was surprisingly open. We chose to do them there because it felt more “us” versus where we were about to go. I ended up LOVING these pictures too.
I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Kendall, and I am so excited for her to capture our big day. She did such an amazing job capturing our love and I know she has some amazing ideas up her sleeve for our wedding day.
